The company Vetropack Straža has grown from a small regional glass factory to a modern factory, which nowadays produces top quality glass packaging. Its loyal staff makes the most important part of its successful growth, because for them Straža is not just as a working place where they earn their living. For them, the factory means much more. It was not always an easy road, staying committed to the same factory for 45 years, going through all its ups and downs, seeing the successful and less successful moments of the transition and privatization, but when it comes to Mr. Dragutin Špiljak, this road gets a completely different dimension. He began to work for Straža in his early youth, starting his career as a technologist and raising all the way to the position of General Manager and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Špiljak will soon be leaving Straža to enjoy his well earned pension, therefore there is no better moment than the present for an interview with him.
