Oxo biodegradable plastic materials are produced on petrochemical base which degrades in the environment by initiating oxidation with the added oxo-compounds.  Oxidation causes biodegradation due to molecular mass loss of the polymer chain up to the level where microorganisms from the environment start to act. Oxo-biodegradability is a cost-effective insurance from accumulating plastic waste in the enviroment. The material is ideal for frozen food packaging.
