Modern printing processes need to satisfy a whole new range of criteria - growing quality expectations from customers, fast production times and fast job changes – even on large presses. But achieving effective colour management is by no means a sure thing. In fact, despite having a fully digital prepress environment, some printshops still carry out the majority of their colour matching in the pressroom. This means having to carry out lithographic processes on the press in order to achieve proof specifications – to whatever extent circumstances permit, good or bad.
